Pollo Campero

Today we went to Pollo Campero for dinner, and it was so good! It was a blast from the past to my time in Guatemala and made me so happy! I'm not usually a fried chicken type of person, but just because it's such a nostalgic place, I have to do it. Plus it happens to be National Fried Chicken Day today, so it made perfect sense to have it for dinner.

Escape From the Heat

Today we had to escape from the heat, so we went to see a movie. We saw Larry Crowne, but the highlight of the movie for me was seeing the trailer for the movie "The Help". I loved the book, and have been looking forward to the movie. Everytime I see the trailer I cry! I saw this huge poster for the movie and had to take a picture. I can't wait to see it!!

4th of July

I don't really love fire works, they are too noisy to be worth it for me. Hearing them right outside my windows all night for a few months leading up to the 4th and a few months after is not my favorite thing either! But, I guess it's just part of living in the city. That, along with the fact that I have been gone for the last week at camp and in Ventura, helped me to decide that I wanted to stay in tonight instead of face the crowds and watch a fire works show somewhere, which was a really nice decision! But, I did go out this morning to meet Janice, catch-up and have coffee together. We met at Coffee Bean, and sat out on the patio for two hours. It was a beautiful day and a great time with my good friend! Hooray for holidays with nothing to do but spend time with friends!

I Found It...Finally!!

Today I finally found a chocolate brown futon cover, which I have been looking for for about 3 years!! I could always find them in that fake suede material, but I didn't want that. I was shopping with my mom and found it and started freaking out because I NEVER find the one I'm looking for, even though I look every time I go to a store that could possible have them! So, here is a picture of my new cover. I am going to put it on my futon later this week, I'm sure you'll see a picture once it's on!

Pool Day

Today I hung out at the pool with my nieces Taylar, Hannah and Georgia. It was really fun! We only had one scare when I thought Georgia was drowning, but she just panicked in the middle of the jacuzzi. In the end she was fine, thankfully! After that I made sure I was by her all the time, but only about 30 minutes after she was drowning, she was cannon-balling into the pool, fearlessly! These girls are so fun to hang out with!

Moving Help

Last night I left camp and came up to Ventura to help my parents move. Today we got just about everything all moved into their new place. It was fun being with the whole family working together to get them moved, but it was also a lot of work and I'm glad it's mostly done! Now I'm staying in Ventura for a few days to relax and hang out with the family. : )
