Quick Trip to Disneyland

Quick trip to Disneyland where we tried to do some of the things we have never done before.  We started off in California Adventure, and walked around the back way to see what was over there, and found nothing, except the smoking area...sad!  We ended up at Tower of Terror:

Then we went to Disneyland and walked through the innovations building.  I can honestly say I had never been in that building, at least that I remember, and I don't think I really need to go back.  The home of the future is pretty much the home of today, except for the cool recipe thing, that talks to you and tells you how to make a recipe.

When we took our number picture, a lady walked by and glared at us, as if we were flashing gang signs, so don't worry, we are not gangsters, just showing how many times we gone to Disneyland with our pass this year.   : )

Also, on our drive down to Anaheim, I saw another cool shaped cloud, what do you see in this one?!?!

Spring Cleaning

Today was cleaning day.  I spent most of the day cleaning my small apartment.  I'm not sure why it takes so long to clean such a small place.  It was the first real cleaning I have been able to do in a couple months, so it was pretty bad (I had done quick cleans over that time, don't worry!).

It feels so good to be in a clean house again!!  : )

Who Doesn't Love Some Extra Time to Play?

Today 5th grade got some extra recess time after lunch.  Mostly because it was a beautiful day, a little chilly, but warm in the sun, a bright blue sky with huge fluffy white clouds, and I just couldn't make myself go inside just yet, but also because they did a dance in front of the whole school this morning, and I was so proud of them, so they got a little extra reward.  Right away the boys continued their soccer game, and the girls ran straight for the playground wanting to show me all their tricks, most of them consisting of them flipping upside down.  : )

 
Later in the day I was driving to the grocery store, and saw this cloud...what do you think it looks like?

New Bling

I got some new jewelry yesterday.  A super fun blingy ring, with diamonds and a pearl, and a super cute necklace from Steph for Christmas.  : )

 

I have been wanting a new necklace, and I love this one!!  I think that we should spread out the Christmas gifts throughout the year, because it was so fun getting this gift in April!!

Giants Drinking Coffee

Today we went to Seattle's Best coffee shop, they have pretty good coffee (although I'm pretty sure I still like Coffee Bean the best).  But, while we were there I did learn something; how it would feel to be a giant drinking coffee out of a regular old cup. 

It was actually a tiny sample cup of iced coffee one of the workers brought around, but as I drank it, I felt like a giant.  : )

Soon To Be Frogs

The first grade class has tadpoles.  They are so cute!  They have only had them for a little while, but you can already see their frog faces, and their little legs starting to grow!!

The first graders got to name the tadpoles (there are three of them, but only one wanted his picture taken today).  They came up with some pretty great names: 

Yep, D.J, Ninja and Paisley (which is Ms. D'Avirro's niece's name...so cute!!)  Fun times in first grade!  I can't wait to see these little guys become frogs, the tadpoles, not the first graders.  : )

Spring Is In The Air

As I walked to school today, I realized how beautiful all the yards are that I was passing.  I can't believe spring is already here, but I saw evidence of it all the way down the street.

I know dandelions are weeds, but for some reason I love them!  Welcome spring!  I'm happy to see you again!
