Blast from the Past

As I was shopping in Target I found a section that had "retro" toys.  It was super fun!  My favorite toy that I found was this one:

Who remembers the music box record player?!?!  It was so much fun to change the records and hear the songs on the little albums.  Then I was thinking, kids today don't even know what records are (once a boy in my class asked if records were those big CD things...), do you think they will really want this toy?

Birthday Party for Georgia

Here's the Birthday Girl!!  Today was Georgia's birthday party.  She was so excited to be celebrating her 6th birthday. 

Hannah and I with the birthday girl!  We had lots of fun celebrating.  We had bbq hamburgers, potato salad, chili beans and chips.

 Georgia got to play with all of her cousins, they made up a fun balloon head game!  It was great.

Fun Filled Saturday

This Saturday started with the Mayor's Prayer Breakfast.  I got there at 7:15 to be a greeter at the VIP reception before the breakfast began.  I got to see/meet a lot of the important people who came to the breakfast...fun!

After the breakfast, I drove up to Ventura to go to my sisters first Tupperware party!  She is just getting in to selling Tupperware and this was her Grand Opening party. 

This was the Salsa making demonstration.  It was amazing!  Tupperware has this chopping device that makes Salsa in about 2 mins.!  I am going to save up to buy that one!

 My dad and Luke came at the end of the party and picked their favorite items!  Sooner or later we will have the whole Tupperware collection!  : )

Friday Chapel

Today we had a great performance for our school chapel.  A bunch of students from different grades (along with a special guest) acted out a book, led by one of our teachers, and they did an amazing job !  What a fun morning!

Fun at the Gathering

Tonight we had our monthly gathering of all our staff at the school.  It was fun as usual!  We have the cutest staff kids!  I think it's required for your kids to be cute if you join our staff.  Here are just two of them:

Georgia the Birthday Girl

Today is my niece Georgia's birthday!  I can't believe this little baby is 6 years old!! 

It has been so much fun watching her grow up.  She has such a fun personality, that showed up right away, and has continued to surprise us every day.

She loves her big sister, Hannah.  They are so cute together, many times fighting as only sisters can, but always loving each other!

  

Her adorable smile can light up any room!

And her silly personality makes us laugh all the time!  

She is a dare-devil, not afraid of anything!  She had so much fun on all of the rides at Disneyland...the higher the better!!

And she is a SUPER soccer player!  She made at least one goal in just about every game she played this last season!!

I can't believe she is growing up so fast!  I love you Georgia!  Happy Birthday!!

Creamy Lemon Squares (Pie) Part II

The creamy lemon pie (squares) was a success!  We ate it for dessert today at lunch and everyone loved it!  It was a super easy recipe, I will for sure be making it again when I need a good dessert!  If anyone wants the recipe just let me know.  : )
