This is a picture of a picture...because today would have been my Granny's birthday. My dad's family is from Kentucky, and she lived in Louisville until she passed away. Granny was a sweet lady who wore house dresses and knee-high nylons that she would roll down to her ankles. She would bustle around her kitchen singing, "Mickey Mouse, in my house..."
She is the grandma on the left of the picture, wearing the blue sweater. This was one of the times she came out to California to visit us, and we were taking a walk on the pier in Ventura. (In the picture with Granny are my great grandma on my mom's side, Nummie, my brother and me, a long time ago!!)
